I clearly remember walking into your office the first time almost three years ago and meeting with you. I came with a bit of a chip on my shoulder, so-to-speak, from my previous 17 years of experience with medical doctors, therapists, and non-traditional therapy practitioners. With a few exceptions, most where run-of-the-mill practitioners who did little beyond the basic routines they had learned in training. I found, both on the first day and during the two-half years I worked with you, that not only did you understand and interpret traditional medical science findings and conclusions well, you continually built on that information and findings to interpret and apply your knowledge of non-traditional, chiropractic, deep body work, and far-eastern modalities.--> One of your most surprising attributes was your ability to both integrate and understand the complexity of my injuries. My injuries included a severe Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) – several areas impacted; eye cortex damage, TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) injury, neck injury, shoulder injuries, chest injuries, major hip muscle and nerve damage, extensive leg damage including: quads, hamstrings, soleus, calfs, shins, and knee muscles, not to mention the extensive foot damage. This just begins to indicate the complexity of my case yet you were able to integrate this complexity and often-conflicting needs into a treatment program that achieved outstanding results. These results included (although these results are physical the problems/trauma were both physical and neurological in nature): proper use of my hips; separation of my hips from each other; free swing and integration of my right leg into normal gate patterns; the waking-up and integration of my left leg; extensive work freeing-up and obtaining function in my feet including toes, gross and fine foot and ankle muscle strength and control. One of your great attributes is that throughout the treatment program we were able to discuss issues, agree and disagree on treatments, and talk in-depth about treatment issues in both plain English and medical terms. Not only were we able to discuss treatment issues in-depth but you were able to it with an occassional touch of humor. My name is Megan, and I want to share with everyone how being a patient of Dr. Ellis has been a wonderful experience!  I had been having migraine and tension headaches about twice a week for a long time.  I was also having anxiety and painful menstrual cycles. The headaches and anxiety were getting to a point where I felt unable to function properly. It felt like my head hurt ALL the time!  It was really becoming hard to live life in constant pain.  In mid May I had a headache as well as a fever and body ache.  I was in so much pain that my mom and boyfriend took me to Urgent Care. The Urgent Care sent me straight to the hospital. Of course after numerous tests, and hours of being at the ER, all they told me was that I have sinusitis and I am dehydrated. They gave me more medications than I knew what to do with and sent me on my way. This was a breaking point for me. I knew that something had to be done and that my headaches were not going to go away.  I have been under Chiropractic care for as long as I can remember,but never had I been to a Chiropractic Neurologist.  I am a student at Life University and had met Dr. Ellis at the Neurology Club there.  My boyfriend suggested that I go see Dr. Ellis and find out what he could do for me.  I started seeing Dr. Ellis in late May and have seen absolutely wonderful results. Since May 21 I have only had ONE headache and it was very minor!  This is amazing to me.  I was beginning to forget what it's like to not get two headaches per week.  I have also noticed I am so much calmer.  My anxiety has decreased tremendously. I used to be very jumpy and was unable to watch movies that might be suspenseful or make me jump.  I have noticed that this is getting better!  I know that seems like the best part  but the best is yet to come! I had finals this week, and although I am a good student  finals week is especially stressful for me. I usually get very anxious and nervous to the point where I can't calm down and focus, and of course this induces a headache. Well, I am proud to say that because of Dr. Ellis I was able to focus and study headache and anxiety FREE! This still blows my mind. Not only was I able to have a stress-free finals week, but I also did very well on my finals.  I have not had grades this good in a LONG time.  Being under Dr. Ellis' care is a no-brainer!  The results I have seen are just priceless and I can't thank him enough for the time and energy he puts in to my care.  Dr. Ellis is great at what he does and I would recommend him to anyone. I met Dr. Ellis for the first time yesterday. I really did not know what to expect from my first visit.  My main problem was depression. My life stopped about 3 years ago. No one knew not even my closest relatives or friends how depressed I had become. My schedule has become demanding than ever and I stayed busy, when their was a pressing need, however in my personal time I was a zombie unable to function. Today after one appointment with Dr. Ellis on yesterday, I feel hope today. It is raining outside but the sunshine is bright in here. My energy levels are awesome and I am alone and I feel great and I am functioning for real. No drugs, no medicines and my life has shifted. I am very grateful to this young man and the work he is doing. I was recommended to him by my son who thinks the world of Dr. Ellis and now I share my son's enthusiasm. Post menopause my bladder has gotten more active. I would dream that I was going to the bathroom, wake up and had wet the bed. Who wants to wash their sheets/mattress cover everyday?! This just would not do. So I saw Dr. Ellis and he fixed my brain by doing exercises on the Interactive Metronome and it worked immediately!
